Where the Arabian World Honours Leadership.
The Arabian Governance & Business Leadership Summit & Awards 2026 - an afternoon of boardroom-calibre dialogue and an evening of the region's highest honours in governance and business leadership.
A Full Afternoon-to-Evening Experience
On Wednesday, 16 December 2026, the Arabian markets' most accomplished chairpersons, directors, chief executives, and institution-builders will gather at Al Raha Beach Resort & Spa, Abu Dhabi, for the inaugural Arabian Governance & Business Leadership Summit & Awards - AGBLSA 2026.
AGBLSA is more than a night of recognition. It is a full afternoon-to-evening experience that begins with The Arabian Executive Summit - a closed-door programme of keynotes, boardroom dialogues, and panels on the questions defining leadership in the Gulf and the wider region - and culminates in the Awards Gala & Dinner, where forty honours will be conferred across Individual Leadership and Organisational Excellence, each determined by an independent Judging Panel and ratified by a distinguished Advisory Board under a published Recognition Selection Framework.
From the boardrooms of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi to the trading floors of Doha, Manama, Kuwait City, and Muscat, AGBLSA 2026 celebrates the leaders and institutions setting the standard for governance, sustainability, innovation, and stewardship across the Arabian markets.
The Room, In Figures
Recognition With Rigour
Every honour is evaluated against published, weighted criteria by an independent Judging Panel and ratified by the Advisory Board. No fee is payable for nomination, evaluation, or the conferment of any honour - and commercial participation has no bearing on outcomes.
A Summit Worth the Afternoon
The Arabian Executive Summit convenes the region's decision-makers around the agendas reshaping their boardrooms: AI and digital governance, energy transition and ESG, family enterprise succession, workforce nationalisation, and the national visions driving transformation.
The Room That Matters
One evening, one room: the chairpersons, CEOs, general counsel, regulators, investors, and institution-builders of the Arabian markets - with honours, dialogue, and connection to match.
Nominations for AGBLSA 2026 are now closed.
Join us in celebrating the honourees. Reserve your seat or table for the Awards Gala & Dinner.

A Prestigious Regional Platform for Leadership Excellence
The Arabian Governance & Business Leadership Summit & Awards (AGBLSA) is a prestigious regional platform established to celebrate exemplary leadership, board excellence, corporate governance, sustainability, and organisational performance across the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and the wider Arabian markets.
The inaugural edition takes place on Wednesday, 16 December 2026 at Al Raha Beach Resort & Spa, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, combining a half-day executive summit, a networking reception, and a black-tie awards gala at which forty honours will be conferred.
Honouring the Standard Others Aspire To
The Arabian markets are in the midst of a generational transformation. National visions are redrawing economies; boards are being asked harder questions about AI, sustainability, succession, and stewardship; and a new generation of leaders - women and men, in family enterprises, listed companies, financial institutions, and public bodies - is answering them.
AGBLSA exists to hold up the region's best examples: to honour them credibly, to convene them meaningfully, and to set a standard others aspire to.
Preceding the gala, The Arabian Executive Summit (4:00–7:00 pm) convenes an invitation-led audience of chairpersons, board directors, and C-suite executives for keynotes, boardroom dialogues, and panels.
The 2026 programme explores themes including: AI and the boardroom; governance of the energy transition; the future of family enterprise; women in Arabian leadership; sovereign and state-owned enterprise stewardship; and building institutions for the national visions.

The Guardians of the Process
The credibility of AGBLSA rests on two institutions: an independent Judging Panel that evaluates, and a distinguished Advisory Board that ratifies. The Advisory Board is the guardian of the Recognition Selection Framework - the assurance, to every nominee and every guest, that each honour conferred at Al Raha Beach Resort & Spa, Abu Dhabi, on 16 December 2026 has been earned.
What the Board Does
- Ratifies, refers back, or declines the honourees recommended by the independent Judging Panel in each of the forty categories - it does not score nominations, and it cannot substitute its own preferred honouree.
- Assures that the published process has been followed, that conflicts of interest have been managed, and that every honour withstands public and regulatory scrutiny.
- Confers the Arabian Lifetime Achievement in Governance & Business Leadership honour, on the nomination of the Judging Panel.
- Counsels the Secretariat on the strategic direction, credibility, and regional positioning of the Awards.
- Approves amendments to the Recognition Selection Framework between award cycles.
Advisory Board members serve in their personal capacity under confidentiality and conflict-of-interest undertakings. Members and their immediate organisations are ineligible for individual honours during their term. Conflicts in any category result in recusal from that category. Commercial participation in AGBLSA confers no influence over any decision of the Board.
Evaluation was the work of the independent AGBLSA Judging Panel - seven to eleven experts who scored every nomination against the published rubrics.
